Julie Jernberg, MD, attended Haverford College and then earned her MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She served her internal medicine residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland (Case Western) before going to the University of Wisconsin for a three year Geriatrics research fellowship. Dr. Jernberg stayed on as a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin before moving to the University of Arizona where she served on the Geriatrics, General Medicine, and Palliative teaching faculty. She completed the two year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Jernberg was selected to be the medical director for Iora’s geriatric clinics in Tucson, and has worked at the Tucson VA as hospitalist, Geriatrics Supervisor, and Interim Medical Director of RTCL (Rehab, Transitional Care, Palliative, Geriatrics units).
